PressurePak units make leak-detection in low-pressure chilers easier and faster. Undetected leaks result in unnecessary purge cycles, which emit refrigerant into the atmosphere. A PressurePak unit eliminates the time-comsuming and difficult hot-water-and-nitrogen pressurization process. Utilizing a PressurePak unit helps maintain compliance with Clean Air Act regulations on annual refrigerant leak-rates. In four hours or less, the PressurePak unit can circulate heated water through the evaporator, increasing system pressure to approximately 5 PSIG. The chiller system can then be tested for leaks.
