Olympics 2002 - Salt Lake City

Utah, USA

The year 2002 marks the first time Salt Lake City has hosted the Winter Olympic Games. YORK draws on its experience dating from its first involvement with the 1960 Winter Olympic Games in Squaw Valley, California. Key personnel from YORK and its divisions, including Frick refrigeration, YORK Snow, and Imeco, meet various critical needs.

YORK supplied equipment for most of the venues, including Delta Center (figure skating), Oquirrh Park (speedskating), West Valley Events Center (ice hockey), Utah Winter Sports Park (bobsleigh, luge, ski jumping), Olympic Stadium (opening, closing ceremonies), Snowbasin (downhill), Ogden and Weber Ice Ovals (women's ice hockey, practice facilities), the Olympic Village, International Broadcast Center, Main Press Center, and Olympic Committee offices.
