    Every facility faces unique challenges. Whether an institutional building, manufacturing facility or a district energy central plant, and whether the ambient conditions are hot or cold, humid or dry, a facility must handle continually shifting challenges of climate and internal load variations. That's why YORK® created a centrifugal chiller designed to handle every project's unique situation. Built on the globally proven YORK® YK chiller platform, the re-engineered YK chiller is designed to deliver superior real-world performance in a variety of applications thanks to an exclusive combination of features.

    Features

    • Designed with sustainability in mind, the re-engineered YK chiller has been optimized specially for use with ultra-low GWP refrigerant R-1234ze
    • State-of-the-art OptiView™ Control Panel optimizes chiller performance by precisely controlling the leaving chilled liquid temperature and motor current
    • Quick Start feature restarts the chiller in as few as 45 seconds and reaches the specified chilled-water temperature faster than other centrifugal chillers
    • Optional OptiSound™ Control works alongside standard VSD technology to minimize gas-flow disruptions that cause noise
    • ISASecure® certified YORK® Chiller Access Manager provides secure access to chiller controls to help mitigate the risk of unauthorized access and security breaches
    • Extraordinary flexibility allows the YK chiller to be ordered with a variety of options, including heat exchangers, gears and open-drive motors minimizing the need to order a larger size chiller package than might actually be necessary
    • Compared to chillers that can only use a minimum 75°F (24°C) ECWT, a YK chiller can operate with ECWT as low as 55°F (13°C), reducing instantaneous energy consumption by as much as 50%
    • Open-drive design and infinite life bearings help ensure maintenance needs on the YK chiller are minimized
